Why Did You Start Coming to Fit4Mom?
I was looking for mom friends and anyone who had any idea what they were doing during the pandemic. We had our first baby in August 2020. Got pregnant before all the shutdowns and then of course everyone was saying it would be fine by Fall (ha), and in the end there was nothing, no pregnancy groups, no birthing classes, no meeting people in doctor's waiting rooms. I've always worked out and been active and done sports so I started looking for mom-focused fitness groups and found Fit4Mom! All online at first but it was clear there was a great community there, and I was so excited for my first in-person class in March 2021. It felt like such a breath of fresh air. I have not looked back since.
Favorite Class
I love weekend Stroller Strides, and I've also enjoyed the online yoga classes and Strides 360 when I can get to one in person.
Favorite Workout Move
Banded rows are always a favorite, with or without lunges. Always adds a good element to the workout.
Mom Hack
Give them a choice when we have to do something they don't like, e.g. "we have to leave the park, you can walk to the car yourself or I can carry you". It tends to cut down on whining and tantrums about whatever they don't want. I also give warnings about transitions (5 more minutes at the park, pick 1 one more thing you want to do before we leave). It has helped a lot.
Coffee Order
Straight black coffee! I'm a Type 1 diabetic and the sugary drinks are out, but I also love just straight coffee so it's an easy one.
